These\u00a0converters have a lot of utilizations, including different\u00a0applications in power energy conversion domain, being\u00a0mentioned also in electromagnetic compatibility studies.That is why the study and the analysis of such devices were\u00a0and continue to be of a real interest for the scientific\u00a0community. For this purpose this paper aims to bring a\u00a0contribution in the domain, by offering equivalent schemes\u00a0of different accuracies and alternative methods of analysis\u00a0in time-varying regimes for step-down dc-dc converters\u00a0used in electromagnetic compatibility investigations.\u00a0Various time analysis methods are used here in order to\u00a0analyze the step-down dc-dc converter circuit. Each method\u00a0is well explained, starting from the basic equations of the\u00a0circuit, continuing with the particularities of the approaches\u00a0and finalizing with the presentation of the equations sets in\u00a0the final form. For each method a program was created\u00a0where the obtained equations were implemented. The most\u00a0important results are presented in each case; they\u00a0correspond both to the steady state and to the initial\u00a0variable regime. The final part focuses on the differences\u00a0between the results obtained using the real nonlinear<br \/>\ncharacteristics of some elements and those resulted using\u00a0their linearized model. The resulted waveforms are\u00a0discussed comparatively not only using different methods of<br \/>\nanalysis and linear and nonlinear schemes of the converter,\u00a0but also using results offered by commercial software\u00a0specialized in electric and electronic circuit analysis.
