There are a very large number of\u00a0applications which would benefit, both in terms of process\u00a0improvement and energy savings, through the use of speed\u00a0control. Previous studies have shown that the variable-flow\u00a0fluid motion applications (pumps, fans, and compressors)\u00a0have the largest savings potential. Combined application of<br \/>\ninverters and water pumps brings us not only good energysaving\u00a0benefits but some new problems, such as inverters\u00a0configuration and overload etc. In systems with high static<br \/>\nhead the system curve does not follow the curves of constant\u00a0efficiency. Using the Affinity Laws to calculate energy saving\u00a0in system with static head is a mistake because it can<br \/>\nalso lead to major errors. From this element of uncertainty,\u00a0the thought that we can try a fuzzy approach. This paper\u00a0presents a theoretical study of use fuzzy logic to control the<br \/>\noperation of a variable speed centrifugal pumps. A mathematical\u00a0model has been realized and a Matlab simulation\u00a0scheme was attached to it. Based on the mathmatical model\u00a0of puming systems with or without static head, the article\u00a0discusses some issues in detail, such as pressure and flow\u00a0rate regulation.
