It is situated in the south-western part of the country, at approximately equal distances from the Southern Carpathians (north) and the river Danube (south).<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.google.ro\/maps\/@44.8096635,23.5653077,7z?hl=en\">https:\/\/www.google.ro\/maps\/@44.8096635,23.5653077,7z?hl=en<\/a><\/p>\n<p><strong>\u25a0 Venue by plane<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The city is served by\u00a0<em>Craiova\u00a0International Airport<\/em>\u00a0that has been modernized recently. The transfer from the airport to the city center is easily made through local transportation (bus no. 9 and bus no. 8 \u2013 ticket by card, on board) or taxi (less than 1 Euro \/ km, payable in local currency RON).<\/p>\n<p>For more international connections you can use the\u00a0<em>Bucharest\u00a0\u201cHenri Coanda\u201d International Airport<\/em>\u00a0:\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/bucharestairports.ro\/\">https:\/\/bucharestairports.ro\/<\/a><\/p>\n<p>From Bucharest-Otopeni \u201cHenri Coanda\u201d Airport you can reach Bucharest Railway Station of Bucharest North (Gara de Nord) by train (every 40 minutes).
